Freightliner Corporation Chooses Belleville for New Facility Location	Date:	December 7, 2005
Mary-Anne Sills, Mayor of the City of Belleville is pleased to announce the addition of a new employer to the growing list of successful companies now calling Belleville home. Freightliner Corporation has announced they will opening their newest facility “Jain Truck Centres” at 21 Enterprise Drive, in Belleville during February, 2006. With construction of their 40,000 square foot facility now under way, Jain Truck Centres will soon begin the process of hiring 40 full time staff. When asked why they decided to locate their newest building in Belleville, Jain Truck Centres President Eric Jain said “Bellevilles strategic location, their efficient and friendly development approvals process and their affordable land and development costs were just some of the reasons Belleville was chosen for our latest investment. Freightliner was able to find a highly visible and accessible parcel of land right on Highway 401” . Jain Truck Centres will operate a full service state of the art facility that will showcase, maintain and repair Freightliner, Western Star and Sterling Brand trucks. Additionally Jain Truck Centres will also serve as a support facility for ALUMI-BUNK Corporation, a related company that assembles dry and refrigerated van and truck bodies. The business will eventually operate 24/7 and will employ a highly skilled work force including licensed technicians, welders, painters and body shop staff. “In other communities we’ve had to wait in excess of two years for development approvals – in Belleville we were able to complete the process and have the building under construction in less than 6 months!” said Mr. Jain. “On behalf of the City of Belleville, I want to officially welcome Freightliner and Jain Truck Centres and thank them for investing in our beautiful community” said Mayor Sills.
