Mission Statement
To provide a structure for action for local manufacturing leaders to share information, learn from others, and cooperate towards common goals and strategic directions. As a result, improve the capability, competitiveness and sustainability of the individual companies in the greater Bay of Quinte region’s manufacturing sector.

Guiding Principles

  • We will focus our efforts on ‘Win-Win’ opportunities that demonstrate value to the individual companies, and/or the sector and the community
  • We will show respect for all individual consortium members
  • We will support colleagues through demonstrated leadership and commitment to our goals
  • We will celebrate the successes where appropriate and learn from our efforts that fall short of our goals
  • We will promote the benefits of the local manufacturing sector and its importance to the community

Approach:

  • Agenda is industry driven but supported by local economic development
  • Respectful of time constraints of members - Meetings once per quarter – breakfast meeting format, less than two hours long
  • Partners at the Quinte Business Development Centre (Loyalist, Quinte EDC and Trenval) will provide the administrative support for meetings
  • Bear Pit: Roundtable discussions or formation of strategic interest groups
  • Networking opportunity
  • No-selling – information exchange and networking only
  • Discuss and plan for renewal
  • On-line communication strategy
  • No prisoners or vacationers recruit believers

Measuring Success:

  • Industry driven program – if it is useful it will move forward
  • Number of members from manufacturing firms
  • Level of participation by members
  • Member satisfaction
  • Results
