Who are the proponents behind the Quinte Manufacturers Association?

The QMA is an industry driven association made up of senior leaders from the local manufacturing sector. A steering committee is in place that provide direction based on member feedback. The administrative aspects, under the direction of the steering committee, are supported through the efforts of the Quinte Economic Development Commission, Loyalist College and the Trenval Business Development Corporation.



Am I eligible for membership?

The Quinte Manufacturers Association membership is for senior leaders in local manufacturing operations. The membership criteria ensures that the there is no selling by service providers and the discussions are at high level.

How is the QMA different from other manufacturing organizations?

There are a number of active associations and councils that represent a variety of business interests. The QMA is the only a locally driven and controlled organization focused on the needs of the Bay of Quinte manufacturing community. QMA members may choose to belong to other organizations for a variety of reasons but QMA is the vehicle for a local voice of industry that tackles issues at the local level. The QMA also provides a local networking and information sharing opportunity for all members. The QMA is an inclusive group for all manufacturers in the greater Quinte Region.



What is the cost to join the QMA?

The costs associated with the QMA are being covered by their supporting partners: Quinte Economic Development Commmission (QEDC), Loyalist College and Trenval. There are no membership fees to join however the manufacturing steering committee will be reviewing this in the future to ensure that sustainability of the QMA.
